Back to the Fair!

One of my favorite things at the fair is the food. Of course this year I got a quick meal of Krystals, a very quick meal. But I didnt get fries or a Coke with dinner, only water. So once I had finished I went off in search of the rest of dinner. Everyone knows you see strange things at the fair. Heck they had a booth you could see baby alligators, and another booth with some amazingly big bull (yes I mean the bovine). But you had to pay to see them. I, however, got to see quite a strange thing at the fair, and I saw it for free!

Yes that says what you think it says: Laundry. At the Fair. I really didn't want to know the story behind that one, so I moved on.
When you're at the fair and you want something sweet, you are hard pressed to beat a funnel cake. So that's exactly what I got!
Now the recipe for funnel cakes is a simple one, however most people don't have the equipment needed to make the really good ones. So I leave it to the fun fair folks to make my funnel cake. Now at the same booth as the funnel cakes they also make lots of other battered and deep fried things. I'd had a deep fried Mars bar (or Snickers Bar) before. But this place had deep fried peanut butter cups, and Twinkies!!!. The next day I made a point to go get myself one:
The reason for the awkward position was trying to balance a plate of nuclear hot fried Twinkie on my knees while I took a picture in a strong wind. The worst part was when I attempted to take my first bite, inhaled some of the confectioner's sugar, forcing me to sneeze, blowing 90% of the rest of the sugar all over my hands, arm, and lap. (You may recall from my Monte-Krystal tests that I have a bad habit of inhaling powdered sugar and then sneezing.)
The fried Twinkie was awesome! Hot and sweet on the outside, soft and gooey and still a little chilled on the inside. (They freeze them so they won't explode when they hit the hot oil.) And it once again got me curious about doing something similar with a Krystal. However, my last attempts at battered, deep fried Krystals just didn't pan out so well. Then the idea hit me! All food on a stick is good food. And then an idea was born:

So how was the Krysta-bob? Well it was really hard to eat! I either need bigger skewers or I should use 2 of them. I suppose I could also freeze them to make it easier to batter and fry them, but I can't bear the thought of putting one of my beloved Krystals in the freezer.
I suppose I'll have to rely on the good old Corn Pups for my "tasty tiny food on a stick" fix. Unless they go forward with the release of the Chikn' Stikn'(See the videos on Krystal.com)

I like the neatly placed boxes in their proper positions. Great execution! A "10" in my book.

2 Krystal kabobbs are better than one any day! You know what they say, "less is less." :)

BTW, you had a LONELY KRYSTAL there on you plate, it needed a friend!
