A Buffalo Krystal?
Let me start off by stating for the record, Krystals are not made out of buffalo. eww! My friend Chris loves Buffalo, and things from Buffalo. Lots of great things come from Buffalo. I am sure Chris would tell you his favorite thing from Buffalo is his wife, Amy. The foods I remember best: Beef on Weck, Aunt Rosie's Loganberry, and of course the Buffalo wings. Apparently the only people who called them 'Buffalo Wings' are people who aren't from Buffalo. Natives just call them 'wings' which sort of makes sense. Honestly, who doesn't love Buffalo wings? While up in Conyers this past week, Chris showed me a stash of Buffalo Wings sauce from Anchor Bar, where Buffalo Wings were invented. With all this sauce, what's a guy to do? That's right, put it on everything! On Thursday, Chris stayed home with his baby, Joshua, while Jimmy, Mark, and I all went and hit Krystal. It was Thursday after all. We brought a #1 combo (with cheese) back for Chris. As we're sitting around it dawns on me: I've never put buffalo wing sauce on a Krystal. I have put it on a Chik, but never a lil steamer. Chris and I run to the kitchen cackling like mad scientists. So what's the moral of this story? Buffalo has good food, but they don't have Krystal. Since it is easier to bring Anchor Bar sauce to the south, than a Krystal to Buffalo, you should get some sauce any way you can and make your Krystals nuclear! Oh and if you make it to Buffalo, someone please get me some Aunt Rosie's Loganberry! |
