Sunday (The Adventure begins)

My original plan was to leave Macon at roughly 12 o'clock and arrive in Chattanooga around the time my host, Linda, would arrive at home. Because I was too darn excited to sit still I left about 11:00 am. My speedometer also didn't quite match the numbers on those signs they like to put beside the interstate. I arrived at 2:00 pm.
I had planned Monday to take a ride on the Chattanooga Ducks to get a tour of the city. Since I had gotten to Chattanooga to early I decided to ride the ducks then. As I motored into downtown, I wondered exactly where the Ducks were. As I pulled up to the stoplight at 5th and Broad street this massive green monster shot out of a building on my left and swung to the right and rumbled down the block. I had found the ducks! You can't miss them.

After my duck tour, I started on my way to Linda's house. When I got there we started to talk about dinner plans. She asked if I had ever eaten at Sticky Fingers, and since I hadn't we went there. The ribs are yummy. Since Linda and I are both from North Carolina, though, we spent some time evaluating the Bar-Be-Cue sauces available and also discussing the various type of sauces. Don't get me started. Just buy yourself some Scott's barbecue sauce and stop all the fussin'!
Over dinner Linda said she knew someone who customized trucks and vans and they'd been working on a truck for Krystal. It coincidently was sitting outside of a Krystal not too far from Linda's house. So after Dinner we decided to go take a peek. Yes this is the first of many MANY Krystal Koincidences of the weekend.

Imagine this bad boy in your rear view mirror!

Kenny told me that the Cruiser was due to move out the following day. I was lucky Linda had seen it the previous week. After bunches of pictures we decided to call it a day. I had a long day in front of me. But that's episode #2, and you'll have to come back tomorrow.
A few extra notes. First off, I am up on the Krystal web site now. Click on the Hall of Fame logo at the top, then click on the trophy, and you should see me. YES, I know my last name is misspelled. I've already let em know. Cut 'em some slack. Chill out and have a chili cheese pup.
While I was at Krystal HQ I was told to go ahead and toss out some of my Krystal Recipes/Suggestions. (More on that tomorrow!)
So here's a few that I came up with while dining on my Krystal Chiks at lunch today, somewhere just north of Atlanta:
Spicy Chik'n Ranch: Take the basic Krystal Spicy Chik, knock off the pickle and mayo (I never eat mayo anyway). The put a dab of ranch dressing on top. Perhaps some lettuce, like the yummy lettuce they use on the BA Burger. (Haven't had a BA yet? Go get one NOW!!)
Chik'n Kordon Blue: Regular Chik, boot the pickle (and mayo), add swiss, and ham. I prefer the name "Krystal Kordon Blue" but then folks would think you're dressing up a Krystal. I've tried Swiss on a Krystal and I didn't care for it.
Chik'n Parmesan: Regular Chik again, toss the pickle and the mayo, then add some marinara sauce, and cheese on top. If some parmesan cheese and garlic could be added in, that would make it even better.
I better stop now. I'm making myself hungry!

Comments:
Hey, I noticed in the driver's side, trailor picture of Krystal's truck, there was a hubcap missing. You're not responsible for that are you?
