A big fat update!

OK, so I didn't pay close attention to who was running around with cameras during my induction ceremony tonight so I didn't know what channels to watch. But then it hit me. I took a lot of pictures, maybe they could help. We've all watched CSI, and SVU, so I decided to give it a try.
Using this picture, I zoomed in on the two areas in the yellow squares:

They produced the following two images:

These are clearly 13 WMAZ's logo on the car and 41 WMGT's logo on the shirt.
So now we know who was actually there.
I watched and taped the interview on 13WMAZ. They post some of their stories on their web site www.13wmaz.com but my story is not up. It might be eventually, I'll give it a bit. Here is the text of the story taken from the web site's archives
NOW AFTER THOUSANDS OF ENTRIES...JASON JENNETTE IS A MEMBER OF THE KRYSTAL HALL OF FAME.
IT'S A STORY THAT COMES... STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART..
JENNETTE SAID HE EARNED THE NAME "KRYSTAL KID" BECAUSE OF HIS WEEKLY TRADITION TO THE FAST FOOD CHAIN.
NOW BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE FOR THE MINI-BURGERS...JASON JENNETTE HOLDS A NEW TITLE..."A KRYSTAL LOVER"...AND HE NOW HAS A SPOT IN THE COMPANY'S HALL OF FAME.
JASON JENNETTE SAYS EVERY THURSDAY HE HEADS TO RESTAURANT FOR THE BIG TASTE...AND EVEN HOLIDAYS CAN'T STOP HIS KRYSTAL ADDICTION.
Jason Jennette: On Thanksgiving I make my stuffing out of Krystals. Krystals' actually closed on Thanksgiving. Its one of the few days they are closed. So I buy my Krystals late on Wednesday and I use them to make my stuffing for Thursday for Thanksgiving.
TO SHOW APPRECIATION FOR HIS LOVE OF THE BURGER...KRYSTAL WILL FEATURE JENNETTE ON HIS VERY OWN SPECIALLY DESIGNED HAMBURGER AND CHEESEBURGER BOXES.
So now I am keeping my eye on WMGT. I didn't see the story on tonight, so I'll tape their news programs for the next few days to see if I can get one. Then it's back to trying to get them video captured to put on the web. So it's back to Chris the Video King. If you catch the WMGT interview on tape, please let me know!
I got quite a few pictures taken. I threw them up on another web site this evening. It's a quick web site, nothing fancy. Click here to see the pictures
Ok, so what else happened? I spent a lot of time talking to Kenny when I first got there. Kenny has an awesome job. He reads ALL of the Hall of Fame entries, and he also gets to travel to meet the inductees and eat Krystals with them He has a goal to eventually eat at every Krystal restaurant. He'd already eaten at the Spring St. Krystal in Macon, so we directed him to the new Krystal on Zebulon Rd. After having a meal with me, and Johnny Solomon, he planned to have another out on Zebulon before heading back towards Atlanta. Krystals twice in one day, now that's dedication.
We made tentative plans for me to meet up with him on Monday while I am up in Chattanooga to get a run through of Krystal HQ. I might get to meet the CEO, see their merchandise section where new Krystal goodies are created, and perhaps take a quick run through the Krystal test kitchen. I'll try and sneak my camera in and see if I can catch a peek as something new and yummy. Of course I'll also bring some of my Krystal recipes along and "accidently" drop a few around the kitchen. muhahahaha!
I finally cracked open the Krystal Steamer box of goodies. Inside was a hat (I am currently wearing) several t-shirts, a ton of bumper stickers (the ones you see on this site) pencils, pens, keychains, koozies, and some more super special things I think I'll keep private for now, lest someone break into my house and steal all my neat new stuff!
If I had to pick the best thing that happened today, I don't think I could single anything out. It was such a full, fantastic day. I met some awesome people (Kenny, Johnny, Bernida, and Michael) I ate some wonderful food (Krystals of course, and that yummy cake!) I got some great gifts (plaques and shirts and stickers) and enjoyed the company of other folks who love Krystal as much as I do. I would say it can't get any better than this, but since I am going to Krystal HQ next week, I might be speaking too soon!
Thank you all for enjoying this ride with me and I wish so very much you could have been there to share the day with me. I do finally have a big pile of boxes in hand, and they should be hitting stores soon. So go out and grab one (or 12) and I'll start sending the ones out to folks who emailed me.
As a funny side note, my nephews want boxes to take to show and tell. I can only imagine the "tell" part. "This is my uncle Jason. He's nuts!" Seriously though, my nephews are awesome boys and the first batch of boxes is headed their way.
From the Krystal Lover in me to the Krystal Lover in you, Thank you.
Jason
