A Century of Fun
| Today, my blog turns 100. No, not 100 years or even 100 days. This is my 100th post. (a slight pause for appreciation from the audience) I was inducted on Thursday, March 13th. Today is Thursday, July 27th. Both Thursdays, and both on purpose. (I admit I sort of drug my feet a bit to save post 100 for a Thursday). It has also been 105 days since my induction ceremony. (I couldnt make it 100 exactly and still be on Thursday, I assure you.) I feel that moments like this are the perfect opportunity for reflection and also to show appreciation. First of all I would love to thank Krystal and the fantastic people who work for Krystal, both in Chattanooga at KHQ and also all over the southeast in all the Krystals scattered around me. Obviously without you, there would be no reason for this list, and I would be much less happy in life. Second of course I feel I owe a great deal you those of you who visit here, read my blabber, and email me or comment and share your thoughts, opinions, and stories. I did not put the "hit counter" on the blog for the first 2 or 3 weeks because I really didn't care. Someone asked me how many "hits" I got, so I decided to put the counter on and I have been amazed and awed every day when I watch that number grow. You are all amazing people and I thank you for your time, attention, and most important, your patience. Looking forward, can I imagine the next 100? Heck no. I was shocked this even got past 10 posts, but it took on a life of its own. Sure there are days (and weeks) that I crawl home beaten down from work or life in general and just can't bring myself to post here. There are days I feel I need to post but frankly have nothing good to say, so I refrain. But when it's all said and done, if you keep coming back, I'll keep coming back. We'll enjoy the ride as long as it lasts! (And don't forget the Krystal Stuffing recipe will be coming in November, just in time to make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas and impress your friends and family, so stay tuned!!) Carpe Krystal! |
