Uh oh!

Apparently, some people do not believe my life is as full of Krystal Koincidences as I describe here on Krystal Adventure. Well, let me give you just 2 from this past weekend.
This past Friday we got the rental truck and spend most of the day packing. When we were worn out we went to the hotel my parets were staying at in Macon. Right next door is an Applebees. I have eaten at this Applebees hundreds of times over the years since it is just down the hill from where I lived. We walked over from the hotel and had a nice dinner. As we were placing our order I noticed the name of the waitress taking our order. Knowing no one would believe it, I held on to a copy of the receipt.

I know it isn't spelled the same way, but it's rather ironic I think. And for those who still doubt, I am not done yet.
The next morning, Saturday, we went back and finished loading up trucks and cars and headed out on the road. Since we had decided to go down I-16 to Savannah, and then up I-95 to North Carolina, I knew the "Burgatory border" would be Pooler, GA. I had been there before back in April. (Oddly enough when I was driving to my job interview in Wilmington.)

The original plan was for me to pull off I-95 and get my Krystals and then catch up with my parents at the SC Welcome center. Instead we all went in and ate lunch. Then, I went back to get my sack full to go. Many Krystals have instituted a "table delivery" system where they bring your food out to your table. I can certainly appreciate that, except when an order is "to go." They did this in Macon for a while until they realized that the customer is standing 3' across the counter that was built to hand orders across. Instead the order has to be carried 20' AWAY from the customer to get around the counter, then brought 20' BACK to hand to the customer. Thankfully they put a stop to that. However, they still hand you the numbers you are supposed to place on your table while you wait. These numbers wind up scattered all over the dining area and trash cans where people stand and wait for their orders. When I placed my order for my Sack Full to go, can anyone guess what my order number was? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Hopefully you see the Koincidence. I am the 22nd Inductee to the KLHOF, and my order number was #22. It's a sign. Of what, I had no idea, but now I do. (More on that in a moment.)
I take my Krystals out to my truck where I had a Kooler waiting in the back for my stash of Krystals I was about to sneak across the border into Burgatory.
I do not yet own a Food Saver so they had to ride in the back, unprotected. I hoped that the smell of my fresh, hot, small, square Krystals would flood across the landscape and make everyone hungry.
Upon our arrival, my mother carefully packaged them up and placed them into the freezer where they will rest until they are needed in 2 days.
I bought a sack full of 12, just in case. I know I'll be back near a Krystal on July 30ths when I am in Brunswick. That means there are only 2 Thursdays between now and the next tiem I can get to a Krystal. I think 12 should last me fine until then.
I had also been contemplating making a run down to Murrell's Inlet to get some Krystals and scope out the route before school starts, but I think I will let that wait for now.
There was one last thing I wanted to check out today though. I had been told that Winn Dixie grocery stores carried frozen Krystals. I checked the one closest to me in Georgia several months ago and they didn't have any. I spent my last week in Georgia trying to find the closest Winn Dixie to Wilmington. That is where the trouble started. Winn Dixie's Website clearly shows no stores anywhere even close to where I live. Somehow it is showing Florida stores closer than Georgia stores. I believe this violates at least 1 or 2 laws of physics. However, Google Maps shows a store just 5 miles south of me.
I was confused. This afternoon I cleared up all the confusiuon:
It seems that the Winn Dixie in Wilmington has been knocked down to build a Home Depot. If I had taken the time to explore the web futher, I might have found this article or perhaps this one that would have told me I was out of luck with Winn Dixie in NC.
So my sack full of 12 steamers chilling in the freezer (aka my "K-rations") have to last me a while. I have hit 3 other grocery stores in Wilmington and they all have frozen hamburgers from the Albino Fortress but no Krystals.
The difficult part now is going 2 weeks seeing them in the freezer every day without eating all of my Krystals. Wasn't this one of the Twelve Labors of Hercules?
Krystal Lovers get more in the sack!.
