Go Meat!

If you haven't seen the new Hillshire Farms Go meat! commercials, you're missing out. You can see all of them by clicking the link above. I admit the first one or two I saw I found to be annoying, but they started to grow on me. Much like everyone's favorite commercial, the Ranch Tooth.
I'll be the first to admit I am quite fond of meat (not fish). As you have probably figured by now, I am a big fan of pork products. One of the greatest foods on Earth is bacon. Ask any chef and most will admit that bacon and pork fat are perhaps the greatest invention ever. I mean most people believe filet mignon is the best eating cut of beef there is. If it is so great why do you always find it wrapped with a thick strip of bacon? Because bacon can improve even the best cut of beef. As you look over any menu if you see "bacon wrapped..." you know it's a cut above.
Crispy, crunchy, salty, smokey, slightly greasy.
Given a choice of bacon or sausage, I always pick bacon. However, that is not an option when you buy a Krystal Sunriser.
Until now
Ok, so some assembly is required. But since Krystal is more than happy to sell you a side order of Bacon with your #1 breakfast combo (2 sunrisers, hashbrown Kryspers, and a drink) you can have everything you need for a porky, eggy, cheese eye opening breakfast.
Simply open the sunriser, and extract the sausage (courtesy of Jimmy Dean) and replace it with 2 or 3 strips of bacon. And now I present to you
The Bacon Sunriser
One thing you will find quickly as you try to extract the bacon is that the Sunriser is assembled in this order from the top down
  1. Square Top Bun
  2. Square Egg
  3. Square Cheese Slice
  4. Square Sausage patty
  5. Square bottom bun
The difficulty is that the cheese wants to stick to the sausage more than it wants to stick to the egg. Unless you can do your sausage-ectomy soon after it is made, you're going to wind up with a messy sandwich and extremely cheese fingers. So I have a better idea: leave the sausage in there.
The Bacon and Sausage Sunriser
Crispy, smokey, eggy, cheesy, and a little bit spicy. Now this is what breakfast is all about. I suspect once word gets out about my newest breakfast creation, pigs the world over will be lining up to get in on this.
Soooey!!!
Krystal Lovers get more in the sack!.
