13 WMAZ interview up!

I have been so busy with work and such lately I had forgotten to post my April 13th interview from Channel 13, WMAZ. I actually uploaded it late last week but am just getting around to linking to it. Cut me some slack! I been busy, peeps! (Yes, I said "peeps")
So without further delay, if you look to the left you'll see links to both of my TV interviews, and for those getting this via e-mail, here's the link to the Channel 13 interview. To keep from blowing out my server again, if you suspect you'll wanna watch it more than a few times, you might try right clicking the link and saving the file to your computer. Then you can play it and make fun of me as much as you want without burning up bandwidth! (Turn the sound up some, too!)
I do feel I need to explain my reaction at the beginning of the clip. I apparently watch too many movies and TV shows about making movies and TV shows. I have this delusion that whenever they turn on the camera, some big red light comes on.
There is no red light!
When I arrived for my induction ceremony, none of the TV people or cameras had arrived yet. I spent a lot of time talking to people and wandering around. It was all such a surreal experience with a huge banner with my face on it, and Krystal boxes everywhere. I was in a daze.
The camera guy from WMAZ arrived and sat in a corner booth working on his camera while I did an interview with WMGT. By the way, that second interview has not been aired that I know of. But, hey, they're still better than Fox!(That's an inside joke you'll have to dig in the archives for.) Anyway, I was talking to someone when I looked to my right and noticed the WMAZ camera guy was no longer sitting in the booth tinkering with his camera, but was up and filming and zooming in. It was at this point that I again realized tv cameras don't have red lights! You can clearly see me say "Oh wow!" out of surprise. As for the brief display of the word "play" at the beginning. That was not closed captioned, just a tiny glitch when we did the video capture.
One of my favorite parts of the clip is the tail end when Frank Malloy and Ben Jones are chatting and Ben comes up with the idea of a Taco Bell Lovers Hall of Fame. Ben's such a goofball!
So what's on the hamburger horizon? Well, since this blog got started I have gotten back in contact with my fraternity brother Brian, who if you've been following along, is the one who dubbed me "The Krystal Kid" so many years ago. Brian and I haven't seen each other in years, but we're trying to get together to catch up (or it is Ketsup?) and have some Krystals. You can bet your square steamy buns that there will be some pictures and they'll be up here soon after. Brian apparently still enjoys Krystals pretty much weekly. But even better, Brian has passed on his love of the small and steamy to his kids. I feel so proud it makes me well up with tears! [sniffle] You may have seen Brian posting a few comments here and there in this blog. Speaking of which, y'all are free to post comments as well as e-mail.
I am also awaiting the announcement that my cup has been released in stores. I know some of them are already available. You'll need to upsize to the big drink to get the plastic cup for that one. Again I'm not on ALL of the cups, so you'll either have to get lucky, beg, or slip the manager a tip to get one of my cups. or you could just buy 50 large cokes. You're bound to get at least ONE of mine! You'll probably need one of their cardboard drink carriers to help get your beverages to the car, though, unless of course, you want to drink them all there.

I hate to "Poo-Poo" but that "Straight from the Heart" segmant on 13WMAZ could have been a lot better.

Frank laughing at your Krystal stuffing really annoyed me. But, then again, Frank ALWAYS annoys me, he looks like a muppet (of course that is insulting the muppets and Jim Hensan. Sorry about that.) I didn't think he gave you the repect you deserve. You deserve better than that AND SO DOES KRYSTAL!
