Another good reason for leaving.

As I have said before, it seems every day since I decided to move, I am shown clear reasons why my decision was a good one.
Courtesy of Penny, here's another one.
Yup, my Krystal got robbed again earlier this week. You might recall it got robbed once earlier his year in roughly the same way. Robbers show up after closing time, but while there are still employees there cleaning. They force people into the freezer, and rip out the phone. Last time the alarm was tripped when they rippedout the phone.
What kind of a crummy world is it when people have to resort to things like this? What kind of world brings this kind of evil to the home of tasty food and endless fun?
Sadly, I know what happens next. Krystal used to be a 24 hour establishment. Due to recent increases in crime, many have cut their hours. Most close the dining rooms late night, and many close their drive thru windows as well. Once the Krystal got robbed the last time, they cut their hours back more. I will not be at all surprised if they cut back dining room hours and drive through hours even more. Because sick stupid losers have taken advantage of Krystal, we no longer have access to Krystal any time we want to.
Once Krystal decides it's not worth it and they move on, then what will the punks and losers do? Move on to the next business. And they'll keep at it until someone stops them. You see, crime is like a virus. Running from it and hiding from it does not cure it. You have to find it an destroy it.
Sadly, I am not surprised by these events. One of the best things about leaving Macon is that I am no longer being "governed" by an inept government. Eight years under the same mayor and with the direct assistance of other public officials (who always run unopposed) have dragged the city down to it lowest levels. Thankfully term limits and a few amazing upsets in the recent primaries may be the first step towards change. But I won't hold my breath. Every previous person who ran for office in the past ran on a ticket of "change" and once elected the only thing that ever changed was their title.
In case you haven't figured it out, I am angry. Very angry. It is probably a good thing I now live about 450 miles away. I hope whoever did this gets caught and goes to jail for a very long time. I hope they are banned from ever eating Krystals again because of the disrespect they have shown. I know that I'd rather do jail time than have a lifetime ban from Krystal.
To that end, my previous offer still stands. Anyone who offers assistance to the police that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case, I will buy them a steamer pack (that's 24 Krystals) as some sort of "reward." That way you can enjoy the steamy delicious goodness in your tummy and the warm feeling in your soul you get knowing that justice has been done.
Stealing is a crime and stealing is a sin. You may be able to outrun the police, but you can't outrun God. Somehow, I feel certain that jail will be more comfortable if you get caught stealing than what God has in store for you.
Krystal Lovers get more in the sack!.
