Say Cheese!

Krystal is currently running their cheese your combo promotion with three choices of cheese: American, Cheddar, Pepper Jack. American is what you have always been getting on a Cheese Krystal, and since I don't really go for Pepper Jack it all came down to Cheddar. But they've done cheddar before too, so as far as my interests, we weren't really breaking new ground.
I may not be the ultimate cheesehead. I do have a fairly good taste for the fromage! So I decided to take it upon myself to explore. As always my theory is simple:
You cannot eat a Krystal while it is still in the box. You must "eat outside the box." You also cannot be truly creative unless you learn to "think outside the box." So with our minds fully open, and my stomach completely empty, I present to you:

The Swiss and Mushroom and Swiss are very good. Even better with some brown gravy on top. But you'll have to come back later for that, right now I'm full. The Cheese Wiz is also pretty good but even better with a small spoon full of salsa on top. If you use my old trick and add the Dorito then so much the better. But again you'll have to wait for later, cause Im way too full for the Mexi-Krystal.
Don't let me and my ideas limit you. Go to the local grocery store deli counter. Tell them you want a slice of each. Then go get a sackfull or a steamer pack and start your own cheese tasting party. There's a LOT of different cheese out there: soft cheese, smelly cheese, aged cheese, herbed cheese. Krystals are not an end unto themselves, but a beginning of the cheese journey. You are only limited by your imagination (and your deli). Go forth and feast, my cheesy companions!
(But don't forget to say "Cheese!")
