You cant always get what you want.
| As you probably know I have a rather extensive collection of Krystal related stuff. Several items you still haven't seen here, yet. Perhaps my most prized possession is the Krystal Kreed plaque I have. Even the folks at Krystal HQ get wide eyes when they find I have one. Well with my collection of stuff, I also have a few people who keep their eyes open for things and let me know when they find something. I got an email of a fantastic find up for auction on E-bay:     You see at roughly 3' by 8' this thing is HUGE. Thing the size of a surf board. Long board, not short board. Think dinner table not coffee table. In addition to not having anywhere to keep this, I can't imagine the cost and logistics in actually shipping this. Now quite coincidentally, I have friends in Jacksonville and will be down there in late March for a few hockey games. I could possibly get it stored and bring it back in my truck. But then we're back to the original problem of where on Earth to put it. Then it occured to me, this year will be Krystal's 75th Anniversary. I know they're trying to figure out some BIG things to do to celebrate. I've been thinking of a few ideas, yet to be shared with anyone. But wouldn't it be cool to give them a birthday present like the sign above? Then again I am sure Kenny and Tiffany are reading my blog about now and screaming "We don't have anywhere to put an 8'x3' sign either!!!" So I am thus stuck in a pickle. (Not unlike those found on your favorite tasty delicious hamburger.) With the Ebay auction ending in less than 2 days, I figure I'll spend the first half of my long weekend watching and wondering about the fate of that big beautiful sign. Well, in between hockey games on TV and drinking some delicious Aunt Rosie's Loganberry. (Hey, life isn't ALL bad, ya know?)  |
