On the 2nd Day Of Christmas

I couldn't find any turtledoves. I'm not really sure what a turtle dove is. So instead of two turtle doves, I got
Two Cheese Krystals
Why are the Boxes in the tree? Well I couldn't find a partridge either. We did have a big fat deep fried turkey, however. But it also didn't get put in the tree. But I think I am getting ahead of myself. Lets back up.
Saturday morning, I am packed and out the door early. A quick stop in Augusta, on the Burgatory Border, to stock up:
A #1 combo for me and a sackfull for the road. You have no idea how hard it is to drive 7 hours surrounded in the delicious aroma of fresh hot Krystals.
Sadly, plans changed for my holiday as my grandmother started having blood pressure problems on Friday afternoon, so plans changed and I met up with my parents, uncle and cousin Megan at the hospital where my grandmother spent the holiday. Seeing that the mood wasn't so rosy and bright, I decided it was time to crack out the warm little bundles of joy. Pops digs in:
No one else is up for any Krystals, which means more for me! The next morning we load up to head to my brothers house in DC. We took a short detour to visit my grandmother on the way out of town and then we're off.
Due to the shifting plans, it became clear that I would be back in Krystal Kountry by Thursday, so there was no need to hoard my stash of steamers. So on the big day... you guessed it...

Krystal Stuffing time!
Since I hadn't planned on making stuffing, I neglected to hold the mustard. While that won't ruin the taste, it does give an interesting "twang" to the stuffing.
It was good to hang out with the nephews and the family. Of course it would have been better with my grandmother along. She is doing much better now. It appears maybe an adjustment in medication will probably clear things up. Last I heard (yesterday) she'll be spending a week or so relaxing at my parents house on the coast.
And now of course New Year's is upon us. While that isn't officially the anniversary of my KLHOF nomination letter, its close enough. (I don't recall the exact date I sent my entry in but I know it was around Christmas/New Years). Nominations are now open for the next "class" of KLHOF inductees, but they wont be open much longer.
When i started this blog, I intended to wrap it up once the "next class" was initiated so as not to "steal their thunder." With the chaos my life and job has been of late it's been looking like a good idea. You've probably noticed a drastic drop in posts of late.
I have to admit, though, that even though the posts have slowed, the news and adventures have not. Even though I can't get back here as often as I would like, I think about this blog often. I'm not really one to make a big deal of new year's resolutions. As a realist, I know that an overwhelming majority of them fail, often before January 7th. I do however firmly believe in the power of hopes, dreams, and prayers. I have plenty of each, most of which I will keep to myself.
For all of you, I pray for peace, love, happiness, and the occasional Krystal.
For myself, I pray for clarity, patience, and calm. Oh and lots of Krystals!
Please be safe if you go out this evening, and don't be stupid, get a designated driver.
Krystal Lovers get more in the sack!.
