Please don't feed the animals!

By the time you finish reading this sentence, Joey Chestnut could have eaten 4 Krystals.
これを翻訳することを終わるまでにKobayashi は20 Krystals を食べてしまう。
FYI: Takeru Kobayashi, of Japan, holds the current world record for eating Krystals at 67. That's "Roku Ju Shichi" in Japanese. (One of my useless talents is that I can count to 999 in Japanese.)
Thats right ladies and gentlemen, the Krystal Square Off is upon us. Tomorrow the opening of the preliminary rounds starts at "high noon" in Chattanooga. Obviously I wont be there in person, but you can join me online and the great folks at krystal.com will set up web cams so people the world over can enjoy the wonder that is the Krystal Square off.
You can see the schedule of events over the the Square Off website, but for your convenience, I have reformatted the information into a Handy Calendar that is suitable for printing and posting on the wall at work. You'll notice that my calendar, unlike most calendars, starts on Thursday, not Sunday. After all, when it comes to eating Krystals, my week revolves around Thursdays. Doesn't yours?
Using my handy calendar, you'll know when to tune in and watch em chow down. I am keeping my paws crossed that the campus firewall at work won't kill the streaming video and I can enjoy my Krystals while the competitors enjoy their Krystals.
Oh yes, that's right, my friends, tomorrow is Thursday, which koincidentally is my Krystal day as well. Was this intentional? Only the folks at KHQ would know. I'm not self centered enough to think the Krystal World revolves around me, it only appears that way sometimes. (Ha!)
When you print the calendar up, find the event closest to you and make a point of going to watch some of the event. You'll certainly see Kenny running around and perhaps Tiffany and Jennifer and others from the KHQ. I am already making plans to be at most of the days in Perry, GA, since that's a stone's throw from where I work.
If you're feeling "gutsy" perhaps you might want to sign up and see how you do against others who love to pick em up and put em down. The slots are filling fast, though, and your local contest may already be filled. Check the web site to see.
These early rounds are 2 minute speed eating rounds. If you survive them, then they'll have regional finals, and then the eventual championship in Chattanooga late this year.
I know there are those who think negative thoughts about all of this power eating stuff and for some reason do not consider it a sport. Well it seems to me that if ESPN "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" will put poker and dominos on and call them sports, then eating more than qualifies.
Krystal Lovers get more in the sack!.
