Get out the telestrator

As I said in my last post, we finally now have firm plans on what's up with my brother. Here's the short and simple (and purposely vague) run down:
Jeff had a scheduled play day with some kid named Ivan. Ivan got all selfish and started to throw a temper tantrum (as Ivan often does) so our uncle, Sam, picked up all of his stuff and left. Sadly this cancelled my brother's play date. Thankfully, our uncle has found a new play date for my brother, with some kid down the block named Stan.
If you know my brother and what he does for a living, you'll understand why I am vague. If you don't know, then don't worry about it.
Sadly, before my brother does leave there's going to be a LOT going on. My mother sent me the "schedule" and I was completely lost. So I knew what I had to do. I called in John Madden and had him bring over his Telestrator.
Apparently the coach decided to use one of those trick plays from the back of the playbook. The cat run a dogleg left (Yeah, the cat runs a dogleg. I said it.) Jeff runs a post play. One nephew run a crossing pattern while Amy and the two oldest boys overload the right side and run various short patterns. Of course my parents, and Amy parents are he offensive line. I think somehow I have been designated the waterboy cause there's something wrong with my medulla oblongata. I guess that's what I get for complaining about my boring summer plans!
Also in my mother's email was this little story tying back to my Armed Forced Day post last week.
We had the opportunity to do a serviceman a favor this evening also. We stopped at Wilburs for supper as we were leaving G'boro. We sat just across from the cash register. As we were waiting for our bill Herm noticed a young couple preparing to pay their check. The young man looked in his wallet and got a dismayed look on his face. Immediately you knew he did not have the $13.00 to cover the cost of their meal. His young lady (?wife/friend) started digging in her purse. Herm stepped to the register and asked what the amount of the bill was. Also asked if the young man with a military short hair cut was in service. He reply was a definite military "yes sir". Herm told the clerk that he would pay it. The young man asked if he really wanted to do that. Herm said very definitely. The young man and his lady thanked him, and he introduced himself as Josh. Herm introduced himself as "Jake" an old retired Marine. The clerk commented later as we paid our bill that it was a generous thing to do. As you said the good feeling it gives you far surpasses the money involved.
So did YOU do anything good for Armed Forces Day? If you didn't it's ok. You know memorial Day is coming up in a week. But really you don't have to wait for a particular day to do something. Personally, I think every day should be Armed Forces Day. Or, as they say in Warner Robins: EDIMGIAFAD!
The drive back from my parents house takes me right in front of Camp LeJeune. One of the best parts of the drive is actually across the road from the base.
When the signs start going up, you know some of the boys are on their way home. On a few occasions I have seen the signs stretch end to end for a mile or two down the road.
If you can drive down the road with the base on one side and miles of these signs on the other and NOT appreciate our Armed Forces, then on behalf of the rest of the country, could you please report to the nearest border, hand over your passport, and leave. Thank you!
You know I couldn't pass up the one with the Detroit Red Wings logo on it! Go Wings!
Can we PLEASE wrap up this round of the playoffs tonight, and get on to the finals? My playoff beard has gotten especially long and scruffy and I suspect Courtney will not let me in the house with it on Tuesday.
Krystal Lovers like hot buns.
