I've got a big box of Peeps, and it's a beautiful warm day outside. I am thinking of the cold delicious treat I'll be enjoying tomorrow and it suddenly hits me. The perfect frozen treat to enjoy on your Easter Egg hunt! It's A Peepsicle!Am I the only one who remembers growing up that Popsicles always came with two sticks? Of course the intention was for you to break the Popsicle in half and share. I didn't share. I didn't split it. Get your own! But feeling a bit nostalgic, I took it up another notch:So how is the Peepsicle? Well it's chilly, very chewy, sweet, and doesn't want to let go of the stick. I give it two sticky sticks up! Please don't confuse the Peepsicle with that less appealing frozen treat: (Yes, I made this logo myself. I am sure my parents are so proud.)Actually "Poopsicle" is what I used to call Jello Puddin Pops. Either that or "Puddin Poops." Neither of which is very appealing, I am sure. But here's my question: When did Pudding Pops get wimpy? At least when they were big wide MAN sized Popsicles, the whole "Poopsicle" thing wasn't as funny as it is now. Now, you don't have to have ANY imagination to figure out "Poopsicle." I wonder if losing Bill Cosby made them go wimpy? Either way they still taste good. The problem is you now have to unwrap two separate Poopsicles to eat to be satisfied. By the time you are done with the first one, the other one is getting melty. And they're so small it's not even worth leaving the kitchen, or closing the freezer door. |
